KS3 Enterprise Day

In March all Year 9 students at the school were involved in an enhanced curriculum day organised by the Business Department in conjunction with 'Business Dynamics'. The day was aimed at developing an understanding and awareness of enterprise skills needed for working life. The day itself was an enjoyable and learning experience that involved a series of activities and presentations from various guest speakers about the world of business and work. Students completed evaluation forms after the event and the overwhelming response was very positive. As a result it is the aim of the department to continue to run this event for the foreseeable future.

 Key Stage 3 Business and Enterprise Club

 

Year 7 and 8 pupils have been busy creating and making products for Enterprise week in November 2005 at PHGS.

About 50 students between both year groups managed to raise £200 out of their profits, which will be kindly donated to the school charity.

The students embarked on the challenge back in September. Their first task was to consider the best possible idea for the Christmas market and aim their idea at other students in the school of a similar age.

The students got a chance to sell their products to the rest of the school during Enterprise week.

A prize-giving assembly followed Enterprise week. The winning teams are featured below:

The Business Studies department congratulates all teams for their efforts in the Business & Enterprise Club and for kindly donating their hard-earned profits to the school charity.
