Students will be able to insert images into their presentation. Students will be able to select an appropriate image and give reasons for why each image has been used.

Task A: Evaluating the use of Images

Pat has added to her presentation, but needs your advice on how to improve it further.

Open the PowerPoint presentation, Pat's presentation stage 2

Consider the following

  • Why did Pat include an image here?
  • What sort of image has Pat chosen?
  • How does the image illustrate the point Pat is making?
  • Could the image be replaced with a more appropriate image? If so, what?

Your teacher will show you another PowerPoint showing examples of how images can be used in different ways. Presentation Images

 
Task C: Adding your own images
When you are adding your own images you may want to alter some of the images. Remember your previous work with images.

Task C: Other ways of improving the presentation

In pairs, look at various tools available in PowerPoint for three minutes and report back on how you think Pat's presentation could be improved.
