FOREIGN VISITS AND EXCHANGES

 

As a Specialist Language College it is particularly important that our students see the relevance of their language studies, and appreciate why we focus on the international dimension in all aspects of school life.

 

One way we hope to achieve this is through a comprehensive programme of foreign trips and exchanges, which aims:

• to give students the opportunity to experience life in a different culture/country, to compare and contrast with their own life.
• to enable students to counter cultural bias by enabling them to develop informed views and opinions.
• to enable students to develop their linguistic, communication and personal skills.
• to let students enjoy themselves!

 

In 2005/2006 some 350 students and over 30 staff participated in one or more of the twelve foreign trips and exchanges which took place.
