YEAR 7 GERMAN TRIP

24th – 27th June 2005

• To appreciate some of the similarities and differences between the UK and Germany.
• To be able to use some basic language for the purposes of real communication (eg. greeting hotel staff, asking for their key).

Forty students and five staff travelled to Germany at the end of June for a four-day trip based in Cologne. The programme, put together by Miss Kendall, included visits to a traditional Chocolate factory, Cologne cathedral, the zoological park and Phantasialand theme park.

Students also had the opportunity to put some of their basic German language into practice.
