GLOBAL CITIZENSHIP AWARD

In December 2004 the very first “Language College Award for Global Citizenship” was presented to former student Will Smith at the Annual Prizegiving Evening Prizegiving 2004].

Will received the award in recognition of his work in Ghana, where he had spent part of the summer working in a small village.

This type of contribution to the developing world really does put the concept of global citizenship into action. Understanding the issues that affect countries such as Ghana is one thing, but as Will has shown, we can actually doing something to tackle them.
