Comenius Projects

Comenius Projects are part of the European Union Lifelong Learning Programme, and provide funding for students and staff from schools in three or more European countries to work together on joint projects.

School Projects: Students

By learning with one another and from one another, students develop their understanding of and appreciation for other cultures, as well as their own. This also encourages them to consider their sense of identity as young Europeans. Most importantly, it gives them the opportunity to establish cross-cultural friendships, and celebrate their differences as well as their similarities as young people from different countries.

School Development Projects: Staff

Teachers involved in School Development Projects have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues from other countries on a shared theme. This enables them to learn how different educational systems approach whole-school issues. As well as sharing their own expertise, members of staff can learn from one another and develop their own teaching skills.
