INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Increasingly we are contacted by young people from other countries who want to spend some time in lessons at Prince Henry’s to experience life in a British school. Usually they are staying in the area for a period of time, often with one of our students or another local family. We always try to accommodate their request whenever possible.

We think that it is very important for students from different nationalities to have the opportunity to learn together and from each other, and we always try to ensure that our visitors teach us something about their different experiences. Of course, most importantly we want them to enjoy making new friends with people from around the world!

Some visiting students are really keen to draw upon their personal experience to teach our students something about their country. For example, in March 2005 Florencia Iglesias from Argentina, who was spending half a term with us, taught part of an A Level Geography lesson about her home country!

In 2005 international students at Prince Henry’s have included:

Lola    Belgium Jan - Feb 2005
Florencia Argentina  Feb - Mar2005
Erick Panama Feb - Apr 2005
Felix Germany Apr 2005
Lise   France July 2005
Mathilde France July 2005
Ana and Laura Spain   July 2005
Takwa Germany July 2005
