Library Activities

 

At lunchtime and after school the library plays host to a range of clubs and social activities.  The school has a thriving Chess club, Bridge Club, Board and Strategy Games Enthusiasts Group, and Warhammer Club.  It is a hub of activity at lunchtime providing a pleasant and productive atmosphere with something to suit all tastes.  As well a Librarian and adult supervision, student librarians help to make all students and staff welcome in the library.

 

The library is the centre of the reading club, helping students of all ages improve their reading skills and encouraging a love of books.  Sixth form students provide much of the support for the reading club with training and support from Learning Support Assistants and The Inclusion Manager.

 

In addition, the library provides International television and video resource section, has a video conferencing room, news section and photocopying service.  The library also has fourteen computers as well as being adjacent to ICT suites.
