PUPIL LIBRARIANS

Credits for Pupil Librarians

Helping in the Library is a good way to earn credits towards your certificates. The Library needs helpers to tidy and sort books on the shelves, keep the library furniture tidy, help the teacher supervising during break or lunchtime, find missing books, select old books for removal, replace spine labels  and even help with processing new books.

Pupil Librarians may work a morning break session in the Fiction Library, a lunchtime session in the Fiction or Information Libraries and possibly after school by arrangement with Mr Gillett and Mrs May.

A credit will be awarded for each session’s work.  You will learn new skills in the Library and get to know the Library stock much better than anyone else in the school, a decided advantage when it comes to study and research.

A good idea would be to team up and work with a friend.  If you want to become a pupil Librarian, see Mr Gillett or Mrs May to arrange which sessions you would like to work.
