MUSIC - KS3 COURSE OVERVIEW

At present students in the following year groups receive the following Music lessons per week:

Year 7	-	2 x 45 min lessons
Year 8	-	1 x 45 min lesson
Year 9	-	1 x 45 min lesson
Year 10	-	3 x 45 min lessons
Year 11	-	3 x 45 min lessons
Year 12	-	6 x 45 min lessons
Year 13	-	6 x 45 min lessons

At Key Stage 3 all pupils (in mixed ability form classes of around 30) follow lessons in line with the National Curriculum requirements for Music (11-14). The current schemes of work and timetable allow for one topic to be covered per term in Year 7, Year 8 and Year 9.
