    Staff and pupils excitedly rehearsed for the School's Annual Production. This year the production was South Pacific (music by Richard Rogers, lyrics by Oscar Hammerstein II).

  • YORKSHIRE DALES ROTARY CLUB’S CONSTRUCTION CHALLENGE

    It was the first time that Prince Henry’s Grammar School Specialist Language College Year 12 Technology students had entered the Yorkshire Dales Rotary Club’s Key Stage 5 Technical Tournament Construction Challenge and they won, beating 5 other schools in the area.

    Recently one of our students was presented with a cheque for the Waye Travelling Scholarship Bursary. This bursary can be applied for by any student in the Sixth Form who is planning some form of travel.

  • FAIRTRADE FORTNIGHT

    Prince Henry's are supporting Fairtrade Fortnight in school. Fairtrade bars will be on sale in Henry's along with Banana Cake, Banana Trifle, Banana Pancakes and Chocolate Cake all made from Fairtrade ingredients. There will be a Fairtrade Quiz - Fairtrade bars will be available for the winners! Pupils have a chance of winning a giant Fairtrade bar by bringing in Fairtrade packaging showing the Fairtrade symbol.

  • NETBALL SUCCESS

    Good luck to Prince Henry's U16 Netball squad who entered the West Yorkshire round of the National Schools netball final. All West Yorkshire schools played a tournament and the top two teams went through to the Yorkshire and Humberside round (2) of the national schools final. Prince Henry's beat Wakefield Girls to go through and represent West Yorkshire in Rotherham.

  • ANNUAL AWARDS CEREMONIES

    Prince Henry’s Grammar School Sixth Form and GCSE pupils were presented with certificates, shields and trophies at the Annual Presentation Evening held in December. The event recognised academic, sporting and creative achievements as well as effort and service to the school and wider community.

  • SUCCESS IN COOKERY COMPETITION

    Prince Henry's Grammar School and Otley Rotary Club have been working closely over the festive period on a competition to get students cooking! The Year 10 Food Technology group have been busy designing and making a dish suitable for a festive meal.

  • HISTORY PUPILS "EXPERIENCE THE SPIRIT"

    History students at Prince Henry's Grammar School were recently treated to a historical presentation - "The Spirit of Frederick Douglas" - presented by American actor, Michael E Crutcher, Sr. Frederick was a former American slave and the presentation told the story of his life. The performance was thoroughly enjoyed by all the students.
