SIXTH FORM TASTER MORNING 19 JANUARY 2019

The taster morning is designed to give students (and parents) a chance to experience A-level lessons in a range of different subjects before making their final option choices.

With the removal of AS level as an integral part of the A-level, and the move to choosing 3 two-year courses (for the majority), it is more essential than ever that students make informed decisions.

Feedback from current students suggests that it is important to consider a range of subjects before narrowing it down to the final three.  Prince Henry’s students have already had the chance to experience three taster lessons and completed applications, but this gives the opportunity to try a wider range of subjects before interview to confirm the final three, and it gives students from other schools the chance to experience A-level lessons at Prince Henry’s.

The format of the morning sets out to give students and parents the opportunity to attend up to four different taster lessons and I recommend that you attend as many as possible in order to be clear about the decision you are making. Parents are welcome to attend the sessions with students, however, if sessions are oversubscribed, priority will be given to students themselves.  Sixth Form staff will be available in the Quad during the morning to deal with any questions or queries regarding the application process or A-level choices.
