Trips and Visits

Last year, Sixth Form students took part in nearly 40 trips and visits, both at home and abroad. From curriculum day trips to longer language and history trips to Spain and Russia, there were many opportunities to broaden their horizons.

Performing Arts and English students visited theatres locally and in London, to enhance their studies. Other students visited British Gas, Marks and Spencers, Yorkshire Water and the Law Courts.

There were opportunities to attend Science and Language Conferences, enjoy Maths with Marcus du Sautoy, compete in the Rotary Club Technology Tournament and join the School Governors and Senior Leadership Team debating the future direction of Prince Henry's.

Further afield, in Art, they enjoyed a trip to Holland, while the Music Department students went on tour there. Students enjoyed an exchange trip to Madrid, a History Trip to Russia (for which many learned Russian in our Community Education Evening Classes) and a Ski Trip to Sunday River, USA.

And, we were very proud when our Debating Team won the National Debating Final at the American Embassy in London, with one member winning a 3 week study trip to America, and our STEM Formula One Enrichment students won their regional heat and went on to compete in the F1 in Schools National Final - you may have seen them on Look North!
