NOTES FOR BUS USERS

 

1. Morning Buses:

  • ALWAYS behave appropriately on the Bus
  • Be polite and pleasant to the bus driver and other passengers
  • ALWAYS sit down in a seat
  • DO NOT stand in front of, OR at the side of the Bus Driver
  • Problems relating to punctuality, failure of a bus to stop at a particular stop etc should be reported to Student Registry on arrival
  • Problems relating to poor behaviour should be reported to the Deputy Headteacher on arrival
  • Inappropriate behaviour on the bus will be dealt with through the Positive Discipline Strategy

2. Supervision of Homeward Bus Departures:

  • QUEUING – There are separate queues for each bus( L04, L05, L06, LO7, L08)
  • Please behave as follows:-

              - Queue quietly in twos in the area marked

              - Students who have priority at the front

              - Do not play games or run around

              - Wait to be told to board the bus

              - DO NOT go off site, or you may miss the bus

  • If a bus does not arrive, the Duty Staff will contact Student Registry to telephone First Leeds
  • Students MUST wait for the bus to arrive
  • Students MAY use the pay phone or Office telephone to tell Parents of any delay
  • In bad weather, students should wait in MAIN HALL

3. Extra curricular Activities:

  • Bus Tokens may be collected from Student Registry at 2.50 pm by Students with BOARDING CARDS only - not School Cards
  • Please Note: TOKENS ARE NOT ALLOWED FOR DETENTIONS, STUDY LEAVE OR EXAMINATIONS
  • Students MUST bring bus fare in these circumstances

 

4. Journey Variance Vouchers:

Holders of SCHOOL CARDS, travelling after 2.50 pm may ask at Student Registry for a METRO JOURNEY VARIANCE VOUCHER

 

5. Boarding Cards and School Cards:

  • DO NOT deface your cards, Bus Drivers may confiscate them.  If this happens, Students must contact Metro on 0113 247 5501
  • LOST PASSES – Parents should contact Metro on 0113 247 5501
  • HALF FARE PASSES – To avoid problems proving your age, the School advises Students in Year 9 and above to obtain a Half Fare Pass
  • ALWAYS CARRY YOUR PASS students travelling without passes may be asked to pay the fare

 

6. Lost Property:

  • Property left on buses – Students should contact Metro’s Lost Property Office on 0113 381 5027 after 11.00 am

7. ‘Bus Wardens’

  • Each bus has a Senior Student acting as a Bus Warden.  They will monitor the behaviour of younger Students and report any concerns to the Deputy Headteacher
