TECHNOLOGICAL TRIUMPH

Two groups of students from Prince Henry’s are celebrating after they won their age groups in the annual Rotary Technology competition.

Students worked in teams to create a flashing beacon from a variety of materials, competing with other local schools.

The Key Stage Three team, of Grace Martin, Amy Dawson, Jake Greenwood and Harrisen Crowder, won in their category. The Sixth Form team, Maurice Baldwin, Charles Harrison, Jacob Grigalashvili and Tom Cross, also won their age category.

“The students were very inventive, using a variety of technological skills and knowledge to build their beacons. It was a well-deserved win, as they worked hard and thought very creatively.” said Jessica Hellawell, Design, Technology and Innovation Teacher (Design).
