Technological Genius!

Year 10 students from Prince Henry’s are celebrating after they won the Rotary Club Technology Competition. The competition pits students from local schools against each other, to work on a technology and engineering based task – with just a few hours to complete a working device.

Jake Rollinson, Dom Tinslay, Kieron Ojla and Niamh Turner had to make a moving vehicle that had to travel up a ramp, without the use of motors.

“The students did so well to win the Key Stage 4 category. They had to make the vehicle move using weights and a pulley system. The competition is a race against time as well as against each other and they really pulled together to create a fantastic design.” said Jess Wilkes, Design and Technology teacher, who took the students to the competition.
