  • MINDMATE CHAMPIONS!

    Prince Henry’s is celebrating after being awarded Mindmate Friendly status for its work to support students social, emotional and mental health. The visit from the assessor looked at the provision through the curriculum, PSHE days and whole school work as well as the targeted support offered through the Pastoral Teams and Cluster support services.

    Henry’s Diner has been trialling a meat free menu, where all hot meals are either vegetarian or vegan on Tuesdays. The new initiative has been created to support both the health of students and staff and the health of the planet.

    Students from Prince Henry’s have been practising the lost art of letter writing in their English lessons, thanks to a connection across the world in Mexico. English Teacher John Walsh has set up the pen friends through Rosie Buller, who used to teach at Prince Henry’s and is now teaching at the Edron Academy in Mexico City.

    Students from across the years at Prince Henry’s were rewarded for their achievements in all areas at the annual Prince Henry's Celebration Evening at the Leeds City Museum Central Arena. Over 500 students, invited guests, proud parents and carers and staff enjoyed the experience, as sponsors and Guest Speaker and ex-student, Matthew Walker, Global Senior Brand Director of Arla Foods, handed out awards.

  • STUDENTS TAKE PART IN MOCK ELECTION

    Students at Prince Henry’s Grammar School voted in a mock election on Thursday 12 December, as the country went to the polls in the General Election. All classes in the school were able to vote, while Prefects and Senior Students ran the poll and counted the votes.
