  • Fairtrade Community!

    Our student Fairtrade Group took over the Buttercross stall in Otley, to promote Fairtrade products to local people. Prior to the event, the students had a fierce Bake Off competition, which was won by Hattie Michael in Year 10. They cooked cakes, biscuits, buns and more with Fairtrade ingredients.

  • Sporting Successes!

    Students and staff are celebrating after a run of successes for the school’s sporting teams. The school was recently named as one of the top 5% of state schools for sport in School Sports Magazine and offers a wide variety of sport to students and has, again, been nominated for the best Sporting School at the Leeds Sports Awards for the extra-curricular programme.

  • Danny Care opens Community 3G Pitch

    England rugby legend and ex- Prince Henry's student Danny Care, 37, returned to school to talk to students and to join Otley’s Town Mayor, Cllr Ray Smith, in officially opening the community 3G pitch at the school. Danny, who has been capped 100 times for England Rugby, took a break from his training schedule to spend the afternoon at the school.

    Students from across the years at Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Otley were rewarded for their achievements in all areas at the annual Prince Henry's Celebration Evening at the Leeds City Museum Central Arena. Over 500 students, invited guests, proud parents and carers and staff enjoyed the experience, as Guest Speaker and ex-student, Thornton Tasker, Founder and MD of YourLocal.com, handed out awards.

  • Food Bank Appeal is a great success!

This is why a small group of Sixth Form students have been busy planning and organising a food bank donation appeal to help support those in the local community who have been struggling in recent times to ensure no one will go hungry this Christmas.

  • SMASHING GCSE RESULTS!

    We are all incredibly proud of our Year 11 students at Prince Henry’s, who, with the support of their teachers, have achieved an excellent set of GCSE results in the return to pre-pandemic standardisation.  They have shown remarkable perseverance since their education was first interrupted by the pandemic early in their secondary education in Year 8, to be rewarded with some extremely strong outcomes, particularly at the higher end.
