U15 BOYS REACH NATIONAL SEMI-FINALS!

The U15 Boys’ Rugby Team is celebrating after they reached the semi-final of England Rugby’s National Schools’ Bowl Competition.

In a commanding team performance, the boys beat Gresham School, a private school from Norfolk, 50 points to 7. This is the first time since 2044 that a team from Prince Henry’s has made it this far in a national competition.

“The lads were fantastic in the match. I was so proud of their team performance – they really played together and this superb team performance really paid off. There are exciting times ahead as we head to the semi-final!” said Deam Hyam, Deputy Faculty Leader: PE and Sport and team coach.

Reaching the semi-final of the National Schools’ Bowl Competition is just one of the many sporting achievements for students at Prince Henry's in the last year, which led to the school being winners of the inaugural Leeds Schools' Cup for consistent achievement in the Leeds Schools' competitions across many sports. The sporting students and staff are also finalists in the Leeds Sports' Awards 2023, due to the breadth of opportunity and achievement at the school.
