Photography for Beginners
Tutor: Anthony Lendill. Monday 7pm - 9pm.
Designed for absolute beginners who have a ‘good’ camera and want to know how to use it without the auto mode, to create and edit great photography. Learn how and why to use the cameras in the manual mode, and apply this skill to any situation. Learn to operate your camera manually, compose, light and expose your shots correctly, then take these captures into imaging software to retouch and enhance your photographs. A mixture of theory and practical sessions, focussing on studio photography, to learn techniques which can be applied to any type of photography. Given the software use, some confidence with computers would be an advantage. Students need a DSLR or Mirrorless camera with a manual setting and at least one lens, SD or CF cards. Tripod is recommended but not essential. Tutor: Anthony Lendill from www.powerhousephoto.co.uk
