      Prince Henry’s Grammar School, one of the founding partners of the Collaborative Learning Trust, is outstanding in all areas!  Following the recent Ofsted visit at the start of November, we are delighted to share with you the published report which celebrates the achievements of students and staff and is very well-deserved.  We could not be more proud of the whole school community who impressed the inspectors consistently over the 2 day visit.We received five ‘Outstanding’ judgements from Inspectors, including for the Sixth Form provision.

    • GCSE students knock it out of the park!

      Following our exceptional A Level results last week, Year 11 students have also delivered an impressive set of GCSE results at Prince Henry’s.  We are so proud of our students who, with the support of their teachers, have once again excelled.  They have shown remarkable perseverance to be rewarded with some extremely strong outcomes, particularly at the higher end. An impressive number achieved top grades across a range of subjects, surpassing national averages by 10%. Nearly a third of all GCSE grades awarded were at 9-7.  Students achieved highly across various measures, including 62% who achieved a strong pass (5+) in both English and Maths and over 68% 5+ in all GCSEs.  As usual there is much to celebrate with numerous individual accomplishments hidden amongst the data to outline our pride in Prince Henry’s being a fully inclusive school supporting all students to flourish and achieve.

      This year’s Timanyane Day at Prince Henry’s Grammar School was a huge success, with students volunteering in the Community and visitors from across the area leading workshops and discussions in school. “Timanyane Day" (which means "Let's know each other") is where Prince Henry’s focuses on themes of Global Citizenship, Sustainability, Social Justice, Equality and Diversity.

    • Rugby Triumph!

      The rugby season ended brilliantly at Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Otley when the school’s teams secured four Yorkshire Cup victories and took a fifth team to the final, creating a historic moment for the school. In hard fought matches, teams saw off challenges from Ripon Grammar School, Ilkley Grammar School and Wolfreton School.

    • Celebration of Students is a Great Success

      Students from across the years at Prince Henry’s Grammar School in Otley were rewarded for their achievements in all areas at the annual Prince Henry's Celebration Evening at Otley Methodist Church. Over 500 students, invited guests, proud parents and carers and staff enjoyed the experience, as Guest Speaker and ex-student, Heather Thomas, the first female skipper of an all-female crew to win a round the world yacht race, handed out awards.
