The school has achieved the Modeshift Stars Excellent Travel Plan in 2025, which recognises the work they have done to encourage students, staff and parents and carers to walk to school, where possible, and to leave the car behind. 

“Our student Travel Ambassadors created a fantastic campaign in Feet First, encouraging people to travel actively to school, using drop off points in local car parks. The campaign has been very successful over the last three years, significantly changing the number of cars being used near school – which is great for us, and great for local residents. We have been lucky in having the support of Otley Town Council and Leeds City Council in this initiative, so this really is a partnership award for everyone.” said Pippa McPherson, Admin Manager: Community Engagement.
