Please note: as well as any materials fees etc stated in particular classes, there are also enrolment fees for the workshops, to pay for the tutors and overheads. We also need you to fill out an enrolment form, so that we can get in touch with instructions for the day. You can find this information here.
Art History: From Marble to Molecule
All Levels. Saturday 21 March - 10am to 1pm. Sue Dixon.
Explore how artistic materials have evolved from cave art to bio art. Questions will be posed, activities undertaken and discussions had!
Card Making for Beginners
All Levels. Saturday 15 November - 10am to 4pm. Christine Waite.
Always wanted to make your own greeting cards? Learn to use papercrafting skills including stamping and die cutting to create greeting cards and other items. Each week we will work on different projects using different skills, giving you the opportunity to develop and put your own personal touch to your final designs. Students will need to bring their own craft scissors and paper glue (can be purchased through the tutor).
Materials cost of £4, payable to the tutor.
Deaf Awareness

Learn how you comunicate with Deaf people. Promoting understanding, inclusivity, and support for the Deaf and hard of hearing community, as well as raising awareness about Deaf Culture.
Fly Tying - the next level
All Levels. Saturday 21 March - 10am to 4pm. Phil Holding.
Learn to create the life span of a Mayfly in one day. Enjoy taking a full day to create these flies which follow through the development of a Mayfly. Materials and equipment will be available to purchase in class.
Introduction to Lino Cut Printing
All Levels. Saturday 21 March - 10am to 4pm. Patti Smith.
Explore linocut relief printing. Print a range of your designs onto paper. Learn how to carve the lino block, apply inks, and print using hand-burnishing techniques. Work from our examples or bring your own drawings. For absolute beginners as well as those with some experience. All materials provided for the session.
Latin & the Roman world
Beginners. Saturday 21 March - 10am to 1pm. Elena Montesano.
Learn about history and heritage, from the foundation of Rome to the Statue of Liberty and how Rome shaped many ideas in the West; then try your hand at Latin - looking at derivatives, flexion and word order.
Purpose, Passion and Peace

Gandhi famously said ‘be the change you wish to see in the World’ – not easy when the news can make us feel that all is lost, and our work and home life can sometimes feel like a treadmill – running to stand still. In this workshop, two life coaches will guide you through tools and principles from modern brain science and ancient wisdom, to help you
feel inspired, confident and fulfilled everyday.
Spring Knots: Make Your Own Macramé Easter Decorations
All Levels. Saturday 21 March - 1pm to 4pm. Klare Jackson.
Join us for a relaxed, creative session where you’ll learn the foundational knots of macramé and use them to create your own Easter and spring-inspired decorations. Whether you’re completely new to macramé or looking for a gentle refresher, this one-off workshop is a lovely way to celebrate the season while making something handmade and thoughtful. Designs will be inspired by Easter motifs, natural textures, and decorative pieces for the home or table, with time to enjoy the process and build confidence in your knotting. Materials cost of approximately £5 payable on the day.
