    About me: After qualifying as a teacher in Leeds I began my teaching career in inner London, teaching at two very different schools. Over the eleven years I worked at these schools I developed a wealth of knowledge in a range of different areas, including science curriculum leadership and Post-16 education. Following this my family relocated to Leeds and I worked at another local school leading the Sixth Form and the whole school careers strategy.

    I joined Prince Henry's Grammar School in September 2024 as Assistant Headteacher for Exams Data and Innovation and I am also the Careers Leader. I have strategic responsibility for the careers programme and work alongside a full-time careers advisors to drive our careers programme across the school.  Careers is an area that I have a wealth of experience in, having led in this area in my previous schools for a total of six years. In this role, I work passionately to develop provision to ensure that students are well prepared for the next stage of their lives.  In order to do this, it is essential that I continue to work with careers experts and business leaders in the Otley and wider areas.

    About me: My background includes working in education for over eleven years. I started as a manager within the social, emotional, and mental health team providing a service for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).  After qualifying at the University of Huddersfield I worked a multi-academy trust in Wakefield within careers which I thoroughly enjoyed.  I am thrilled to join the team to provide high-quality impartial Careers Education Information Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) and support the careers programme. 

    I am experienced in guiding students in exploring career options and labour market information (LMI), developing career-related skills, and making informed choices about future pathways. A wealth of experience has also been gained working in careers and employability in further education and higher education. I am passionate about careers, increasing social mobility and changing lives through the power of training and education.
